57 new line items! April was a huge month for pricing updates and it was an even bigger month for Actionable Insights. There is nothing more rewarding than downloading the new price list and seeing the fruits of our labor expressed through material updates to the Xactimate price list. We want to extend a most sincere thank you to those of you that have submitted feedback via the “Request a New Line Item” portal. It is because of you that we remain well equipped to provide credible direction for the Xactware Pricing Department.

Do you guys cover your HVAC registers and returns before executing demo or repair activities? If so, you will be pumped to see the Pricing Department has add two new WTR line items for covering registers and returns.

These two new line items will force some updates to the Asbestos Abatement Insight Sheets in addition to the Negative Air Ducting Insight Sheet.  

Another welcome addition is that test plugs are now incorporated into the price list. When you pull a sink or toilet, now there is a line item that exist to help provide relief for plugging the p-trap or drain flange in a professional workmanship like manner.

This new line item will force some updates to the Covered Plumbing Activities Insight Sheet.  

Those of you that work in high rise environment, you’re really going to appreciate these new “High Density Large Inner City” bid items.

If you pre-stain your lumber prior to “staining & finishing”, you will appreciate the 12 new pre-staining line items that range from pre-staining a balustrade to door slabs.

Keep an eye out for add for 3, 4 & 5-piece crown molding line items. These new add for line items include additional material and labor to install crown molding around cabinetry. These items should be used to add crown molding to the cabinets.

Another solid update relates to the moving van line items. They have not introduced new moving van line items; however, the line item descriptions and the additional item info have been updated. The length of the vans are now more thoughtfully curated. The descriptions now highlight the fact that the van lengths are relative to the approximate size of box/packing area (as opposed to the overarching length of the vehicle)
