The Actionable Published Price List is now live in 400+ Xactimate pricing regions across the United States and Canada.
Actionable is building the data rails that make image-to-scope estimating possible. Reliable computer-vision scoping becomes significantly more difficult when a model must choose among roughly 17,500 highly granular structural line items. For example, when lower cabinets are divided into eight grades, accurate selection depends on distinctions that cannot be reliably inferred from an image alone.
The solution is to simplify those decisions without sacrificing accuracy. By restructuring line items around observable, outcome-oriented inputs, Actionable is laying the foundation for accurate, scalable image-to-scope estimating.

The APPL never changes the price or composition of an existing Xactimate line item. Every core structural line item remains exactly as Xactware published it.
Collective benefit
The APPL is built for the collective benefit of policyholders, restorers, carriers, TPAs, and vendors. A line item that advantages only one party does not belong in the APPL.
Publish to the US and Canada every month
The APPL is released into all 400+ Xactimate pricing regions across the United States and Canada on a monthly cycle.
One code, both countries
An Actionable line item carries the same category and selector string in the United States and in Canada. Descriptions and additional item information may differ slightly to accommodate regional spelling preferences.
APPL line items evolve
Actionable line items are tuned regularly in response to data provided by our membership. Meaningful composition updates, especially within a line item’s first year, are a sign of the system working rather than failing. Every material update is recorded in the APPL manifest and published monthly.
Members set the agenda
Every December we ask each Actionable Member one question: which trade is proving hardest to settle at a consistent and reasonable margin? One year the answer is drywall; the next, cabinetry. Those responses are aggregated and used to set the APPL’s principal mandate for the coming year.
Neutral by design
The APPL is published by a nonprofit trade association, not a materially interested party. Everyone comes to the table with interests, ours included. That is why neutrality cannot rest on good intentions; it has to be built into the board structure itself.

Actionable’s line items are compatible with modern estimating solutions.
Transparency is in the code itself
Every line item that exists exclusively within the APPL carries “AI” in its selector code, placed at the end of the meaningful selector stem and ahead of any trailing modifier characters. One glance at the selector tells you whether an item is core Xactimate or an Actionable line item. The same marker appears in the price list name, so you know which list you are working from before you open it.
Transparency is in the code itself
The same AI marker identifies Actionable work in both places an estimator meets it: the line item selector and the price list name.
