January 2024 Price List Changes Summary

Structural price list items added for the January 2024 price lists
1. FEEBASEC	Combined test fee - full service survey - base fee	(+)	Included: Laboratory full service base charge for combined tests (i.e., when testing for more than one substance). Excluded: Sample charges, see item FEE ASBTPS (asbestos per sample) and FEE LEADPS (lead per sample). Notes: This item is for a testing company/laboratory's base fee for a full service survey of more than one substance at a time. It includes time to travel to the home, inspect, take samples, analyze, and report findings. This price does not include any per sample fees. Price for survey may be affected by factors such as type of materials tested, price structure of the company performing the work, quantity of samples taken, local ordinances, etc. As the pricing for a combined full service survey can have a potentially broad range, the estimator should review costs and make adjustments as necessary.
2. FEELEADPS	Lead test fee - full service survey (per sample)	(+)	Included: Laboratory full service additional per sample fee. Excluded: Any lead-based material removal/remediation. Notes: Per sample fee by a testing company, added to the base fee (FEE LEAD). Price for sample may be affected by factors such as type of materials tested, number of samples taken, price structure of the company performing the work, local ordinances, etc. This item should be used in conjunction with item FEE LEAD and is not intended for a self test.

8. WTRDRY1CF	Structural drying per CF - Class 1 (Bid Item)	(+)	Excluded: Demolition, cleaning, water extraction, and content manipulation. Notes: Bid item. Class 1 (least amount of water, absorption and evaporation) - Water damage restoration projects that affect only part of a room or area, or larger areas containing materials that have absorbed minimal moisture. Little or no wet carpet and/or cushion are present.
9. WTRDRY2CF	Structural drying per CF - Class 2 (Bid Item)	(+)	Excluded: Demolition, cleaning, water extraction, and content manipulation. Notes: Bid item. Class 2 (large amount of water, absorption and evaporation) - Water damage restoration projects affect at least an entire room of carpet and cushion (pad). Water has wicked up walls less than 24 inches. There is moisture remaining in structural materials (e.g., plywood, particle board, structural wood, VCT, concrete, and substructure soil).
10. 10. WTRDRY3CF	Structural drying per CF - Class 2 (Bid Item)	(+)	Excluded: Demolition, cleaning, water extraction, and content manipulation. Notes: Bid item. Class 3 (greatest amount of water, absorption and evaporation) - Restoration projects in which water has wicked up the walls greater than 24 inches, or it enters from overhead affecting the ceiling, walls, insulation, carpet, cushion, and subfloor. The entire area is saturated.
11. WTRDRY4CF	Structural drying per CF - Class 4 (Bid Item)	(+)	Excluded: Demolition, cleaning, water extraction, and content manipulation. Notes: Bid item. Class 4 (specialty drying situations) - These consist of wet materials with very low permeance/porosity (e.g., hardwood, plaster, brick, concrete, light weight concrete, and stone). Typically, there are deep pockets of saturation, which require very low relative and specific humidity for drying.

Miscellaneous changes made for the January 2024 price lists
For Washington, DC pricelists (DCWA), the Single-rate and Contents Only sales tax jurisdictions were updated to tax activities in the landscaping category.

Upcoming Time and Material Module
Once the new module is complete and Xactimate is updated specific line items created will become exclusive to the Time and Material Module. If these items are used outside of the Time and Material Module, estimators will need to validate if their estimate already accounts for these supplies or materials in existing item assemblies/assumptions.
