17: RFG300- Laminated - Standard grd - comp. shingle rfg. - w/ felt (+ / -) (+)
Included: Laminated composition shingles, 15 pound roofing felt, roofing nails, and installation labor.
Quality: Standard grade entry level architectural/laminated shingle with a uniform granule blend and a standard dimensional appearance. Product weight typically ranges approximately 200 to 250 lbs. per square. Examples include GAF Timberline NS, IKO Cambridge, Owens Corning Oakridge, Tamko Heritage, and similar products. Estimators should compare roof-stocked material costs to Xactimate material component pricing to confirm proper item alignment.
Notes: Pricing reflects local nailing code requirements. The price is based on the material being roof-stocked (as opposed to in-store shelf price). Consideration may be needed for situations such as abnormal material delivery/pick-up, delivery outside of normal range, small material quantities, etc. that result in additional costs. The estimator should verify that the component allowances are sufficient for the actual material and associated delivery costs.
Reference: Verisk publishes prices as close to the mid-point of the market as possible. As a result, generally half of the providers in each market will be priced higher, and half lower than the cost shown here. Due to the structure at which different roofing companies operate (traditional sub-contractors vs. roofing sales organizations) roofing costs quoted by local providers can cover a very broad / large range of prices.
(-)

Product weight typically ranges approximately 200 to 250 lbs. per square. Examples include GAF Timberline NS, IKO Cambridge, Owens Corning Oakridge, Tamko Heritage, and similar products. Estimators should compare roof-stocked material costs to Xactimate material component pricing to confirm proper item alignment.
Notes: Due to the nature of replacing individual shingles on a roof, there may be contractors that are hesitant to warranty and/or quote unit pricing for this type of unique repair. As such, this item cost is based on an assumed allowance of estimated time and material needed to effect the per shingle repair. This item is to be used only for minor spot damage due to wind or hail etc. Pricing reflects local nailing code requirements.
