Xact Hacks | Opens Off Screen

In this episode of Xact Hacks, Seth shows you how to bring Xactimate back if it opens off-screen.

WRITTEN EXPLANATION:
Step 1: Right click on the the Xactimate Launch Icon and Click “Maximize”

If that does not work, follow the instructions below.

Step 2: Press and hold the Windows key plus the Shift key, and then tap the Left arrow key once while still holding down the other two keys.

If that doesn't work, follow the instructions below.

Step 3: Use the following Windows keystrokes to move a program that may be off the display screen back.
Step 3.1 Press ALT+TAB to switch to the off-screen application.
Step 3.2 Press ALT+SPACE to bring up the system menu (you won't see it because it is off screen)
Step 3.3 Press R to select the "Restore" menu choice to ensure the window isn't maximized (you can not move it if it is maximized)
Step 3.4 Press ALT+SPACE again, and then press M to select the "Move" menu choice.
Step 3.5 Press one of the arrow keys to initiate the movement.
Step 3.6 Now just use the mouse to place the window where you want.

Note:(a) These same keystrokes work in Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10. (b) If you are using a non-English version of Windows, the "R" and "M" menu choices will be different.
