This week's Xact Hacks video shows you how to work the weird angles of the property you are sketching! Xactimate automatically shifts objects by a predetermined 22.5 degrees with the Tab and Shift+Tab hotkeys, but not everything we come across has such convenient angles. You can hold the Shift key while you grab the red diamond vertex and put it wherever you want! Be cautious using this tool however - it tends to make your sketch a little more sketchy, and not in a good way. Custom-moving multiple vertices will cause the estimate to be slightly more erratic and increase the potential of crashing, but doing it a couple of times should be okay. We also recommend using the Quick Copy feature to save a draft of the estimate before custom shifting vertices to ensure you can always go back to the most stable version of the sketch. Enjoy!
